Quadriga: Transformation into mosaic murals
Quadriga: Elements of State began as a painted series and was later chosen for adaptation into mosaics as part of the permanent public art collection at Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport, which focuses on work by Minnesota artists and imagery tied to regional landmarks and civic life. The series' visual and thematic connection to the Minnesota State Capitol quadriga, along with its focus on the forces shaping life in the state, aligned with the airport art program’s goal of reflecting local identity and shared public spaces. For the installation, the original acrylic panels were translated into durable Venetian glass mosaics by Miotto Mosaics Art Studios, allowing the artwork to function as a large-scale, long-lasting feature in a high-traffic terminal environment.
